NUC Approves African University of Science and Technology (AUST) to Run Undergraduate Programmes

Admission Form for 2022/2023 Academic Session Into African University of Science and Technology (AUST)

Attention: This is to inform you that the National Universities Commission (NUC) has finally given approval to the African University of Science and Technology (AUST), Abuja, Nigeria to carry out her undergraduate programs with effect from 2021/2022 academic session.

Meanwhile, based on the released letter to the Acting President of AUST, on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, carrying this reference number NUC/ AP/P34/Vol.11/58 and signed by Dr. N.B. Saliu, NUC Director of Academic Planning for the Executive Secretary of NUC, Professor Abubakar Rasheed, MNI, MFR However, the Commission has given approval to eight new undergraduate programs for the university, Based on a resource verification exercise conducted by the Commission in January 2022.

The programs so approved are as follows:

  1. Accounting (B.Sc.)
  2. Business Administration (B.Sc.)
  3. Civil Engineering (B.Eng.)
  4. Computer Science (B.Sc.)
  5. Materials & Metallurgical Engineering (B. Eng.
  6. Mechanical Engineering (B.Eng.)
  7. Petroleum & Energy Resources Engineering (B. Eng.)
  8. Software Engineering (B.Sc.)

The Acting President of AUST, Professor Azikiwe Peter Onwualu, FAS, sincerely appreciate every on, he also thanked the NUC Executive Secretary for the approval given to the university to carry out undergraduate programs, in other to achieve this, the AUST would put in her best to keep the high academic standards the university is known for, as well as to carry out the guidelines contained in the approval letter.
